Lakshmi Chandrashekar portrays a range of characters with a quick change of a turban or facial expression in a highly professional, one-person show. Ultimately a sad tale of an Indian woman caught between a rock (her avaricious father) and many hard places. I left feeling I had truly experienced India for the duration of the show.
It was sad, funny, beautifully performed. It’s such a pity there were only four people in the audience.
